Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for generating, scheduling and implementing short‐term drilling, blasting and ancillary mine plans to achieve the operational plan in a safe and cost‐effective manner.
The Underground Drill and Blast Engineer will work closely with the Scheduling Engineer to coordinate production activities and ensure alignment with weekly and monthly production plans.
This hands‐on role involves inspecting and assessing underground production areas, liaising with survey and geology departments, and providing technical support to underground supervisors and crew members.
The role includes daily and weekly data management for reporting, blast vibration monitoring and notifications, and technical input into large‐scale production plans.
Mt Charlotte utilizes three different mining methods, offering continuous technical growth for an engineer seeking new challenges in underground engineering.
Qualifications
* Experience in a similar underground position.
* Proficiency in mine design software, with Deswik preferred.
* Experience in a production engineering role with exposure to underground ventilation.
* Residence in the Goldfields or willingness to relocate to the Goldfields region for this residential site.
* Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering.
* Advanced level in Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Western Australian Underground Supervisors Certificate of competency, or ability to obtain it, preferred.
* Dangerous Goods Security Card or proof of application, preferred.
* Current unencumbered Western Australian "C" Class Driver's Licence.
* Strong leadership skills and experience leading a diverse team of new‐to‐industry engineers.
* Ability to hold oneself and others accountable to their roles and responsibilities.
