We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our product planning strategy, driving the success of Hyundai vehicles in the Australian market.
Key Responsibilities
The Product Planning Assistant Manager will be accountable for developing and executing optimal product strategies to maximize sales, profitability, brand growth, and customer satisfaction. Key tasks include:
* Drive product planning and strategy for assigned carlines, promoting sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction of current Hyundai models.
* Conduct analysis and develop model strategies, including Model Line-ups/specifications, Pricing, grade walks, variant mixes, showroom logic, and overall competitiveness.
* Consult with key stakeholders within Sales, Marketing, and Aftersales divisions to receive input and requirements essential to business case development.
* Negotiate with Head office to advance HMCA's interests regarding subject carlines, securing optimum models, specifications, and features for the Australian market.
* Lead the launch phase of applicable carlines, disseminating product-related information via internal committees, Product Drive Days, Bulletins, etc., to affected stakeholders.
* Prepare product value analysis, market research, and VFACTS sales analysis for proposal development and HMCA reporting as required.
* Monitor the Australian and other key global markets for new models and variants, providing recommendations to the business.
* Develop and/or oversee preparation of Product Planning Bulletins on new models, facelifts, specification changes, etc.
Requirements
* 2+ years' experience in product planning, product marketing, product engineering, or strategic planning.
* Desirable: Experience working in the automotive industry.
* Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
* Exceptional research and analytical skills, with experience reviewing large amounts of data.
* Ability to collaborate with the wider product team and other business units, including engineering, marketing, and sales.
