Responsibilities
This is a full-time, hybrid role for a Family Lawyer. The Family Lawyer will be responsible for providing legal counsel and representation to clients in family law cases, including divorce, custody, property division, and child support.
Other responsibilities include drafting legal documents, negotiating settlements, conducting legal research, preparing for court appearances, and advocating for clients in court. The role requires effective collaboration with clients and team members to deliver tailored legal solutions aligned with the firm's mission.
Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years PQE in family law.
* Comprehensive knowledge of family law, divorce law, child custody legislation, and property settlement.
* Strong skills in legal research, case analysis, and document drafting, including contracts and court submissions.
* Proven ability in advocacy, negotiation, and dispute resolution in family law cases.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client management skills.
* Strong organizational and time management capabilities to handle multiple cases effectively.
* Adherence to ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
* Practicing Certificate in law with a specialization or experience in family law.
* A strong understanding of legal and procedural frameworks in Australian family law.
* Experience in other legal practice areas (e.g., wills & estates, property, or commercial law) is an advantage but not required.
* Ability to work autonomously in a remote work environment while maintaining consistent communication with team members.
