About the role Allan’s Pool Shop is seeking a reliable, honest and hard-working pool technician to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a candidate with demonstrated experience in a similar role to maintain swimming pools and spas in domestic, commercial and public settings. This would suit someone who is naturally mathematically minded and has great communication skills as the applicant will have varied responsibilities across pool servicing, and maintenance. Successful applicant has to pass a Police Check and be able to hold a Working Children and Elderly Blue Card. Skills and Experience : Demonstrated experience in a similar role Strong understanding of water chemistry. Able to diagnose complex pool filtration problems Problem solve and quote to repair all types of pool and spa equipment. Plumbing installation of all pool related equipment including heat pumps. Leak detection and repairs. Sound knowledge of water hydraulics and flow rates. Fault find and repair pool lighting systems. Drain and acid wash pools. Ability to assess quotes for major projects. Excellent communication skills Ability to work autonomously, without supervision Perform basic marketing activities while in field Ability to support the team and be a mentor to junior staff Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and a focus on compliance and WHS procedures C Class Manual drivers licence Physically fit - No physical limitations that may impede digging, rubble removal, wearing a scuba tank or the use of jackhammers or cutting saws What’s on offer Senior Role in Service Department – 2IC Company vehicle and fuel card Sales bonusses additional to weekly fixed wages Continuing training – SPASA CERT III and IV Use of company vehicle with servicing, laptop, fuel card, tools, equipment and uniform all provided Employee benefits with discount after qualifying period On-the-job training both on-site and instore. No physical limitations that may impede digging, rubble removal, wearing a scuba tank or the use of jackhammers or cutting saws Have excellent customer service skills and Enjoy dealing with customers Have excellent communication skills Be self-motivated and able to think on your feet Hold a current Australian C Class Manual Drivers License An eye for detail and the experience to diagnose problems and report back in an efficient manner is also a highly desirable trait in the successful applicant. The ability to transmit information quickly to key personnel in the organisation is also a skill our ideal candidate would possess.
