Job Description
The primary focus of the position is to provide administrative support to the Director of Music and the Music Faculty, ensuring that all aspects of the music program operate efficiently at all times. The Performing Arts calendar is full and varied, offering our students the chance to be involved in various ensembles, major school events and Showcases.
You will be part of a creative team who ensure each performance is well organised and professionally presented.
This is a school term time position, five days per week and you must be willing to work flexibly, including outside normal hours. The salary is $85,559 excluding superannuation, which will be proportionally adjusted to the number of weeks worked per annum.
Key Responsibilities
Support the smooth and efficient running of the faculty under the guidance of the Director of Music.
Manage the Music Faculty office administration including:
* private instrumental music
* co-curricular program
* engagement of peripatetic staff
* assisting with the coordination of events and performances
Desired Skills and Experience
Knowledge and Skills
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students and adults.
* Proven ability to work independently and manage competing demands.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Apple MacOS and Google Workspace systems.
* Familiarity with school web based management systems, such as TASS.
* Knowledge of general accounting procedures.
Experience
* Background or experience in music and/or performance preferred
* Understanding of the demands of rehearsals, performances, productions and ensembles
Qualifications
* Minimum of three years' administrative experience, ideally in an educational setting.
* A current First Aid certificate or willingness to train and obtain a First Aid Certificate.
* A current NSW Working with Children Check.
