Responsibilities


About the role
We are looking for a fully registered Early Childhood Teacher/Educational Leader to join our Reservoir service. This is an exciting opportunity to work with, and lead, an experienced team in a highly supportive environment.

As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of the kindergarten program for 3-5 year old children as well as supporting the three year old program Teacher and Educators in your team. You will also be responsible for educational leadership across the service, with dedicated time allocation to support all age groups.


Requirements / Qualifications

* We are looking for an experienced, fully registered, Early Childhood Teacher with:
* Motivation, intentionality and great communication with children, families and colleagues
* A passion for early childhood education and a desire to be impactful through developing and supporting a rich and diverse educational program that is meaningful for children and families
* A willingness to mentor colleagues and lead professional practice to support positive outcomes for children
* Demonstrated experience in creating change through mentoring and support, as well as accountability to achieve stated outcomes
* Extensive experience in program development and an ability to support/implement floor book planning with our team (ideally with Claire Warden Floor books approach)
* An ability to connect with, and maintain, positive professional relationships with families, children and colleagues
* Professional English proficiency, and an ability to document professional conversations, critical reflections, as well as ECT documentation including using the EYALT, Transition Statements etc
* An understanding of the compliance and operational requirements of an early childhood service, ideally having undertaken a Diploma qualification prior to ECT.
* A minimum of three years of early childhood teaching experience with permanent work rights
* Experience as a Responsible Person and willingness to undertake the required responsibilities of a closing shift at 6pm
* Previous Responsible Person experience is preferred, however flexible consideration will be given to candidates who demonstrate willingness to undertake these responsibilities
