About the Role
This position is responsible for driving the HR function across various areas, including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, training, and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Developing HR Frameworks: Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining HR frameworks, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with NDIS Practice Standards.
2. Recruitment and Onboarding: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes, including conducting probation reviews and ensuring all pre-employment checks are met.
3. HR Advisory Services: Provide advice on award entitlements, Fair Work legislation, and employment conditions. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including NDIS and WH&S.
4. Employee Training and Development: Coordinate employee training programs and track professional development to promote continuous learning and growth.
5. Safety and Risk Management: Collaborate with managers to promote a safe working environment, supporting Workcover claims, return-to-work processes, and WH&S initiatives.
6. Rostering and Support Services: Assist with rostering activities for support staff, managing vacant shifts and ensuring smooth operation of support services.
7. Confidentiality and Record-Keeping: Maintain confidentiality in all People & Culture matters and ensure accurate HR record-keeping.
8. Employee Engagement: Contribute to a positive workplace culture by supporting employee engagement initiatives that align with our mission and values.
9. HR Reporting and Compliance: Work independently on HR tasks, providing leadership within the HR function and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement. Prepare HR reports and assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with NDIS standards.

* You have proven experience in a generalist HR role, with strong knowledge of HR processes.

* You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
* You have a commitment to confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive employee matters.
* Familiarity with NDIS Practice Standards and WH&S regulations is highly desirable.
