Kicking off the week with a fantastic opportunity to join the Business Development team of a client-centric International Freight Forwarding and Project logistics specialist firm in a newly created role. In this position you will be working with a highly experienced and knowledgeable team with an impressive global reach.
In this position you will be responsible for the complete tender coordination, pricing and tender response writing. You will be the key person keeping the submissions ticking along whilst being responsible for managing and submitting Capability Statements, EOIs (expressions of interest) and Tenders for the Company, ensuring objectives are communicated clearly and effectively. This role will also support and be a vital link into a regional tender team across South Asia and the Oceania region.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Write, manage and submit bids/proposals
- Review and edit bids & pricing proposals
- Track and maintain prequalification/panel/supplier arrangements across the business
- Initiate and manage the Bid & Pricing review and approval process for compliance and on-time submission
- Coordinate, organise and gather information from technical and commercial teams and key stakeholders to prepare bids/ pricing proposals
- Maintain Bid & Tender 'content library'
- Preparation of presentations and content for client post-tender meetings
**About You**:
**Required skills**
- Logistics and / or International Freight Forwarding experience preferred.
- Previous experience in bid management including bid writing and presentation of high quality documents.
- Commercial and Financial experience
- Versatile self-starter with a proactive, professional, and creative approach
- Excellent time management, attention to detail and planning skills
- Effective listener and communicator with the ability to work across different levels of personnel
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills with the ability to schedule and manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong proficiency in MS Office suite.
Ideally you will have a background within Customer Service or Pricing within the International Freight Forwarding space and be very comfortable obtaining spot rates for high volume over dimensional cargo and containerized movements. Then compiling that information to put together a bid / tender for the work. This will be done in conjunction with some highly experienced Intl Freight professionals, but your previous industry knowledge in Intl Freight or Supply Chain Operations will be highly regarded.
