Your part in our UnitingCare team
This role will be responsible for providing services to vulnerable children, young people and families within the Family Intervention Service (FIS) with an emphasis on delivery of high‑quality best practice service delivery.
Responsibilities
* A holistic and therapeutic response to the needs of families and individuals involved in the child protection system.
* Intervention to support the reunification of children and/or young people to their biological family after time in out‑of‑home care placements, or working with parents under a Parental Agreement case to minimise child protection worries so families can remain safe at home.
* Provide a home‑based intervention that includes case management requirements and therapeutic intervention skills.
What makes a difference for us
* A tertiary qualification (minimum Bachelor Degree) in a relevant human services field with relevant experience; registration with a nationally recognised professional body is desirable.
* Demonstrated skills and sound knowledge gained through experience working with children and families.
* QLD Suitability Card for Child Related Employment (Blue Card).
* Ability to achieve results through personal proficiency and demonstrate high‑quality technical or professional work.
* Experience in the area of child protection is preferred but not essential.
* Current Driver's Licence.
