This is an opportunity to lead the design of new products and take them from initial conception to fully manufactured object, providing engineering input to all aspects of design and manufacture.
You will have control over all aspects of the process, including design, modelling and validation, pre-compliance testing, sourcing of components, assisting the OEM process, and assessing the quality of the product.
Required
* Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, or related qualification
* 5 years experience in a new product introduction role
* Strong planning and organisational skills
* Experience in DFM and DFA
* Experience with requirements analysis and pre-compliance testing
* Able to work in a dynamic environment and get the best performance from team members
Highly desirable:
* Experience with thermal modelling or CFD
* Experience in supplier negotiation and quality management
* Experience working with international teams and supply chains
* Project management skills using agile processes
Work on developing new products for a prominent Australian company, developing products for consumer and office use.
