About The Role We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join the team based in Keswick. The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Technical Specialists across Asset Management and Operations to produce high-quality, user-focused technical documentation. This role is responsible for ensuring consistency, compliance, and accuracy in all published materials while supporting the organisations document governance framework. A background in project documentation and project management processes will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
Develop explicit, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation for a range of audiences, including engineers, project managers, and technical officers.
Ensure all documentation meets organisational standards, compliance, and legislative requirements.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information, verify content accuracy, and maintain strong working relationships.
Manage documentation timelines, schedules, and version control to ensure timely updates and publications.
Maintain documentation systems and tools, supporting effective document control and governance processes.
Promote best practices in document quality, consistency, and accessibility across all business units.
Skills and Experience Required
Proven experience in technical writing, ideally within an engineering, infrastructure, or asset management setting.
Strong understanding of project management principles and the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple documents and stakeholders while meeting deadlines.
Experience using document management tools and systems.
Tertiary qualification in Technical Communication, Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred).
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
