The Handyperson is responsible for carrying out a broad range of general maintenance, repairs and minor works across the accommodation village. The role is hands-on and practical, ensuring guest rooms, shared facilities and external areas are maintained in a safe, functional and presentable condition.
This position is suited to someone with general construction experience rather than formal trade qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
General building maintenance and construction repairs, including basic carpentry, painting, patching and repairs to doors, windows, locks, fixtures and fittings.
Minor plumbing tasks such as replacing taps, clearing blockages and repairing leaks (excluding licensed work).
Routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
Timely response to maintenance requests.
Basic maintenance of furniture, equipment and fittings.
Grounds maintenance and general site upkeep as required.
Liaising with external contractors for specialist or licensed works.
Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in safe working order.
Complying with workplace health and safety procedures.
Occasional support for urgent or emergency maintenance tasks.
Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
