About the blog
In this role, you will help lead a strategic pivot for AMH, streamlining our marketing efforts to focus primarily on our blog as the central engine for growth.
By shifting away from scattered outreach, we are prioritising a high-impact, consistent content schedule of two posts per month produced by dedicated volunteers.
Our objective is to leverage quality storytelling to build a deeper connection with our community, ultimately driving measurable increases in donor contributions and volunteer recruitment.
Examples of possible blog content
Volunteer Voices: Personal stories and interviews from our event hosts that highlight the fulfilment and fun of leading our community initiatives.
Member Stories: Relatable narratives from our attendees about how finding social connection at AMH has positively impacted their mental well-being.
Newcomers Guide: Welcoming, practical advice and "what to expect" articles designed to ease the nerves of those attending their very first event.
Community Spotlight: Features on the people, places, and local partners that make our scenic walks, game nights, and book clubs possible.
Sponsor Promotion: Dedicated features showcasing the businesses and organisations that support our mission and help keep our community events accessible.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy: Oversee the transition to a blog-centric marketing model, ensuring all content aligns with AMHs mission of social connection and well-being.
Growth & Conversion: Craft "Calls to Action" (CTAs) within posts to encourage readers to sign up for our newsletter, volunteer for events, or donate to our cause.
Collaboration: Work with the AMH leadership team to highlight key stories about AMH.
About You
A Passionate Storyteller: You understand that mental health awareness is built on shared experiences and community.
Organised Leader: You enjoy project management and can gently keep a small team of volunteer bloggers, including yourself, on track.
Strategic Thinker: You understand how to turn a reader's interest into action (volunteering or donating).

Join us in making a meaningful difference
With just about 35 hours each month, flexible and remote, you'll oversee two blog posts per month.
Your dedication to the blog will be a key part of sharing the "AMH Story," helping us expand our volunteer community and secure the funding necessary to keep our community events accessible and affordable for everyone.
