Outdoor Education - Casual / Seasonal Staff
Haileybury Rendall School are looking for Instructors to join our Outdoor Education team for the 2026 Top End Dry Season.
Our full season covers up to 60 field days plus extra work on packing/shed days.
The dates we are looking to fill are:
Term 2
- Year 8 Program 27 May – 19 June Bushwalking Program, Litchfield NP.
Term 3
- Year 7 Program 16 July – 7 August Bushwalking, Litchfield NP.
- Year 9 Program 10 August – 16 September Kayak/Canoe journey, Lake Argyle WA
- Additional Instructors are also required for only the Lake Argyle programs (14 August-11 September- 24 program days), where paddling qualifications and experience are essential.
- Opportunities for further work on Year 9 Rec Studies and VCE class mountain biking, climbing or bushwalking in Nitmiluk Gorge and Kakadu NP.
The HRS Outdoor Education Program is a progressive, expedition focused program from Year 5 to Year 9. We are looking for instructors to guide and help our students develop outdoor skills, navigate group challenges, and build positive experiences as they travel between our magnificent freshwater swimming holes and off-track campsites.

- $500 Completion bonus to assist instructors with travel costs.
Ideal candidates would be enthusiastic outdoor leaders, qualified and proficient in:
- Off-track navigation.
- Independent group leading.
- Flatwater Kayak/Canoe &/or sea kayaking
- Supervision of water-based activities.
- Essential- Cert IV, Diploma or Degree in Outdoor Education/Recreation
Preference is given to staff willing to commit to the full set of dates, or the Lake Argyle dates (for paddle specialists) however all applications are welcome.
