Sedgman CHPP Operator Maintainer Role
Sedgman is seeking a CHPP Operator Maintainer in Central Queensland for a vital role. We welcome applicants with electrical or mechanical backgrounds.
You will play a crucial part in our daily operations, embodying our core values of integrity, accountability, innovation, delivery, and safety.
Primary Duties:
1. Operate the CHPP plant daily according to Sedgman procedures, meeting performance targets.
2. Regularly inspect operational equipment to identify defects early and perform corrective actions.
3. Monitor equipment performance, including levels, pressures, flows, material recovery, sizing, water supplies, and sampling.
4. Clear blockages in pipes, pumps, chutes, screens, boxes, distributors, crushers, breakers, overloaded conveyors, sumps, and tanks.
5. Maintain cleanliness by clearing spillages and washing down areas to uphold housekeeping standards.
6. Operate mobile equipment safely and keep the cab clean.
7. Adjust pressures, belts, tracks, conduct lubrication checks, and replace components such as hoses, valves, and filters.
8. Drive improvements in CHPP operation to optimize plant performance and uptime.
Requirements:
1. Trade-qualified with an Australian-recognized Electrical or Mechanical Qualification.
2. Certified with Black Coal Competency, including S1, S2, and S3 accreditation.
3. Previous experience in mining, civil, or industrial environments is essential.
4. Reside in or near the Bowen Basin region.
5. Able to work in a positive and safety-conscious team environment.
