BAR LETTERA as part of Citadines on Walker North Sydney, managed by The Ascott Limited, is now seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Cook or Kitchen Hand (Casual). Join us and bring your culinary expertise to a kitchen where tradition meets innovation
In this role, you will be responsible for:
* Preparing and cooking menu items in accordance with established recipes, ensuring consistent quality, taste, and presentation.
* Working collaboratively with the kitchen team to support efficient service and smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.
* Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation in compliance with food safety and sanitation requirements.
* Supporting menu execution by ensuring all dishes meet culinary standards and service expectations.
* Assisting with inventory control, including monitoring stock levels, receiving supplies, and minimizing waste.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* Demonstrated experience in a commercial kitchen environment with a strong understanding of cooking techniques and food preparation.
* Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and workplace health and safety regulations.
* The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and consistency.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a positive and cooperative approach to working with others.
* Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing operational needs and support the kitchen team as required.
