This is a Leadership role that will see you overseeing the day to day operations of the kitchen whilst utilising your innovative mindset and passion for cooking to help take the dining experience to another level
Duties
* Leading the team and inspiring performance
* Develop and design seasonal menus that showcase local ingredients and culinary trends
* Purchasing, rostering & staff planning
* Budget management
* Menu creation
* Overseeing all kitchen staff
* General kitchen duties as needed
To be successful in this role you must have:
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (minimum) - Food Safety Certificate
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a fine dining or high-end restaurant.
* Exceptional culinary skills with a strong understanding of modern cooking techniques.
* Planning and organizational skills
* Enthusiasm and creative approach to providing high-quality cuisine
* An understanding of food safety
* Ability to produce quality food
* Initiative and be a team player
* Good personal presentation
* Self-motivation, can-do attitude
