Job Opportunity Overview
* We are seeking a doctoral candidate to contribute to the development of computational models for microbial electrosynthesis. This innovative biotechnology converts CO2 into valuable organic molecules using acetogenic bacteria as biocatalysts.
* The successful candidate will be responsible for extending our current model, characterizing the CO2 utilization kinetics of acetogenic bacteria, and calibrating the model with resulting parameter values.
* In collaboration with Associate Professor Pourya Forooghi at Aarhus University, the PhD candidate will also visualize and model interactions between bacteria and H2 bubbles formed on the electrode.
* Additionally, the PhD candidate will participate in supervision and teaching tasks, contribute to result dissemination, and complete courses for doctoral training.
Key Requirements
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field
* Strong background in computational modeling and programming skills
* Experience with data analysis and visualization
