We are seeking an experienced and reliable Butcher to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing, cutting, and presenting meat products to a professional standard while contributing to a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare, cut, trim, and portion meat products including beef, lamb, pork, and poultry Operate knives, saws, mincers, and other butchery equipment safely and efficiently Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety at all times Ensure accurate weighing, pricing, and labelling of products Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory rotation Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service and product advice Create attractive displays and ensure products are presented to company standards Follow workplace health and safety procedures Assist with packing, wrapping, and merchandising as required Skills & Experience Essential: Previous experience as a butcher or meat cutter Strong knife skills and knowledge of meat cuts Understanding of food safety, HACCP, and safe handling procedures Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment Good physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Desirable: Certificate III in Meat Processing (Retail Butcher) or equivalent Experience in a retail, supermarket, or wholesale butchery environment Customer service experience Key Attributes: Reliable, punctual, and hardworking Positive attitude and strong work ethic Team player who can also work independently Professional, respectful, and safety‑focused Passionate about delivering high‑quality products to customers
