We are seeking a Breakfast Announcer to join our passionate team in Bega on the NSW south coast to co-host the Power FM breakfast show.
We have some of the friendliest listeners you’ll ever meet, and your job as one half of our Power FM breakfast duo is to start their day with a fun, engaging, and entertaining show that they’ll want to be part of.
Your afternoons are then free to explore the beautiful beaches and natural surrounds of the south coast! The Sapphire Coast beaches are 12 minutes away; Merimbula Airport 25 minutes, and Canberra is a short 2.5 hour drive – so you can live that coastal life you’ve dreamed of- It doesn’t get better than this!
About the role:
- Co-host the Power FM breakfast show 6am-9am weekdays!
- Collaborate with your co-host to plan, research, prepare audio, and determine the best delivery of content for the Power FM breakfast show
- Edit promos and recorded interviews for the Power FM breakfast show
- Prepare content and present solo on-air shifts as needed
- Present outside broadcasts and assist with promotional events
- Collaborate with the team to develop and post content for our brand’s social media (Facebook and Instagram)
- Execute in-market contesting and other activities as briefed by the Content Director
- Be responsible for working with and assisting the Content Director to drive and execute the station’s overall strategy
About you:
- Experience and proficiency in a Radio on-air role.
Breakfast experience preferred but not essential.
Think creatively & contribute outstanding content ideas!
- A basic knowledge of digital media products, including social media, content marketing and digital audience engagement.
- Genuine interest in pop culture, sport, & news topics relevant to the Power FM audience and can demonstrate an acute understanding of digital media consumption for the Power FM audience profile and what interests them.
- Experience in the use of Zetta is ideal.
Experience with Audata, Facebook/Instagram and Microsoft’s suite of programs is desirable.
- You aim to be ultimate Power FM brand ambassador! You are a positive and energetic team member, who will take great pride in representing the Power FM brand, and enjoy contributing to the team’s success.
