Are you a tech-savvy baker with a passion for sprinkles? Do you love the fast-paced world of e-commerce but still enjoy the \"magic\" of helping a customer find the perfect cake board in person?
Baking Pleasures is a family-owned, industry-leading cake and baking supplies store. While our beautiful Tweed Heads shopfront is the new kid on the block, we’ve been a powerhouse in the Australian e-commerce space for over 8 years. We are a small, tight-knit team looking for a proactive \"all-rounder\" to help us grow.
The Role: A Perfect Blend
This isn't your average retail job. You’ll be working across the entire \"baking ecosystem,\" balancing front-of-house customer service with the high-energy backend of online retail.
* Retail Magic: Greeting customers, providing expert advice on decorating supplies, and keeping the shopfront looking \"Pinterest-perfect.\"
* E-Commerce Engine: Picking, packing, and dispatching online orders with speed and precision.
* Customer Support: Handling click-and-collect orders and answering product queries via email or phone.
* Room to Grow: Depending on your unique \"flavor\" of skills, you could get involved in social media content creation, marketing, or stock management.
The Ingredients We’re Looking For
We need someone who is as comfortable behind a computer screen as they are behind a retail counter.
* Tech-Savvy: Strong computer skills are non-negotiable. If you’ve used Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms, that’s the cherry on top.
* Baking DNA: You have a genuine interest in baking or cake decorating. Whether you’re a retired pro or a dedicated weekend hobbyist, you need to know your ganache from your gum paste!
* Problem Solver: You’re fun, customer-focused, and willing to tackle the \"little things\" that pop up in a busy shop environment.
* Reliable & Fast: You don't mind \"getting stuck in\" during a busy dispatch run to ensure our customers get their goodies on time.
The Sweet Deets (Hours & Perks)
* Hours: Approximately 10–15 hours per week for now, but subject to increase.
* Schedule: Includes some 5:00 PM finishes and rotating Saturdays.
* Important Note: We operate on NSW Time—please keep this in mind if you are commuting from across the border!
