About the Role
This is a strategic opportunity to lead project cost management, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of cost control, including monitoring budgets, tracking expenditures, and analyzing variances.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing and submitting monthly reports to stakeholders
* Supporting the tracking and management of variation costs and procurement commitments
* Ensuring accurate booking of costs and time to the correct code and CTR
* Conducting regular audits to verify and adjust cost entries in financial systems
* Reviewing time allocations by offsite resources and coordinating approvals
* Initial vetting of incoming invoices for correct coding and matching to purchase orders
* Supporting the creation of contractor invoices and related data
* Reconciling timesheet data against mobilization records to ensure billing accuracy
* Preparing and revising cost control procedures as necessary
* Leading project cost attribution with regard to financial close processes
To excel in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of 5+ years of experience in project controls, including at least 2 years as a Cost Controller
* Knowledge of financial management systems and tools such as SAP and FSM
* A proven track record of being responsible, flexible, and an excellent communicator
* A strong understanding of industry standards and best practices relevant to the project
* Relevant experience in an industrial services organization and/or mining/oil and gas sector
