The Junior Accountant Clerk provides essential financial administration support within our aged care and community care organisation. This role is responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting support.
Working closely with the General Manager, internal accounting staff, and external accounting partners, you will ensure accurate financial records, timely supplier and client payments, and reliable management reporting to support quality care delivery to older Australians.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accounts Payable & Supplier Management – Process invoices, manage supplier records, and resolve payment queries.
* Bank Reconciliation & Transaction Processing – Reconcile accounts and ensure timely payment processing.
* Client Contributions & Receivables – Manage client payments and reconcile direct debits.
* Financial Reporting – Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
* Payroll Support – Assist with payroll adjustments and processing.
* FRAccounting (Fitzpatrick Robertson) – Dotted line relationship; guidance on accounting treatments, support during audits and year-end processes.
* Systems & Data Management – Maintain accurate records and ensure data quality.
* Process Improvement & Projects – Assist with workflow improvements and system updates.
* Client Services Support – Support care coordinators and client account management.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience with bookkeeping and accounting software ( Xero)
