As part of our Sales Organisation for Thales Australia, this role is critical to our long-term success by securing projects of national significance. Working from our Sydney HQ, Sydney Olympic Park, on Wann-gal land, your role purpose will be, to drive the Vehicle and Tactical Systems (VTS) domain business growth and play a pivotal role across the VTS domain's four key businesses: Protected Mobility Vehicles, Australian Munitions, Integrated Weapon Systems, and Explosive Ordinance Systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a national sales team to achieve ambitious revenue target
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market share in the defence sector
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government and military clients
- Drive business development initiatives to secure high-value contracts for defence vehicles and munitions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product offerings with client needs
- Provide market insights and forecasts to inform corporate strategy
On day one in this role
- Significant leadership experience, with a track record of managing high-performing sales teams in the defence industry
- Deep knowledge of defence vehicles and munitions, with established networks in the Australian or global defence market
- Experience in the Australian Army or other military service is highly advantageous
- Ability to develop and implement sales strategies for a large-scale portfolio
- Track record delivering team sales targets
