About The Role
We have an exciting permanent full-time opportunity for a pharmacist to join our supportive and collaborative team as a Clinical Hospital Pharmacist at Slade Pharmacy Port Augusta, located onsite at the Port Augusta Hospital. This is a unique opportunity for a pharmacist looking to gain some hands-on clinical experience in a dynamic hospital setting.
At Slade Pharmacy Port Augusta you'll partner with an expert team of local staff and doctors, and be responsible for delivering modern, patient-focused pharmacy services to patients. Key Responsibilities
 * Prepare Best Possible Medication History lists for hospital inpatients
 * Conduct medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation
 * Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products
 * Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stay, day infusions and discharge
 * Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients
 * Support patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees
 * Educate and advise staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and the proper use of medicines
Who Are We Looking For?
We are seeking a highly driven and team-oriented pharmacist who can deliver a high standard of customer service with sensitivity, compassion, and professionalism. You will have high attention to detail and strong time management and prioritisation skills.
Key Requirements
 * Full general registration as a pharmacist in Australia (AHPRA) or New Zealand (PCNZ)
 * Previous dispensing/clinical experience in an Australian or New Zealand based hospital or community pharmacy is essential.
 * Previous experience in a clinical setting (highly regarded)
 * Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) (highly regarded)
 * Effective time management, communication and teamwork skills
 * Flexibility and adaptability, working with a diverse team
 * Commitment to ongoing learning
 * Attention to detail and ability to work autonomously
