Job Description:
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the effectiveness of their team and related teams. They will exchange ideas and information relating to pipeline design effectively.
This position requires an individual who can work autonomously within established pipeline design procedures and practices. The ideal candidate will also act as a lead, coordinating the work of others.
In this role, you will be responsible for proposing improvements to processes and methods within the pipeline design discipline. You will be involved in all projects assigned to you in both a leadership and execution capacity, and will deliverable drawing deliverables as required, in consultation with the design and engineering leads.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A minimum of 10 years' experience with a major contractor or consultant, including at least 5 years of experience in offshore oil and gas.
* Experience as a lead designer on a small or medium-sized project is essential.
* A high school graduate with a diploma in mechanical design, or drafting in a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
* Advanced depth and breadth of expertise in plant design and using 3D CAD systems, including E3D or SP3D.
* Detailed knowledge of AutoCAD.
* Good knowledge of other engineering disciplines.
* Familiar with the associated local regulatory environment and international and national industry standards and specifications.
* Minimum 10-20 projects' experience in E3D/S3D.
* Capable of handling multiple projects.
* Knowledge of QA systems and a good communicator.
* Knowledgeable in project coordination and execution skills.
* Detailed knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Auto Lisp programming, 3D modeling, menu, and/or macro compilation skills would be an advantage.
* Flexible for business traveling/assignments.
