What you'll be doing
* Assist patients/visitors and staff as requested.
* Take the magazine trolley around the wards daily and keep trolley well supplied and tidy.
* Daily distribution of baby packs to new Mums and sibling gifts.
* Distribute donated blankets to patients who require them.
* During lunchtime offer assistance to patients on Medical and Surgical wards.
* Take any patient laundry on request and return laundry to patients when complete.
* Receive all donations respectfully, noting particulars of providers in record book, to facilitate acknowledgements.
* Organise the printing of all necessary documents to complete office tasks.
* Deliver donation items to relevant places in the hospital.
* Complete allotted office tasks.

* Ability to approach patients, visitors and staff in a confident, caring and professional way.

* Reliable, punctual and committed to volunteer on a regular basis.
* Understand personal and professional boundaries. A volunteer can offer emotional empathy, but under NO circumstances offer advice or medical opinions on a patients treatment or assist with anything of a clinical nature.
