Senior Geotechnical Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Newcastle office due to exceptional success and continued growth in our Geotechnical team. Our Geotechnical team services projects across various industries and sectors, working collaboratively with local government, residential developers, rail authorities, education, commercial and industrial clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, coordinate and manage field data acquisition, site investigations, testing and produce calculations, reporting, specifications and drawings to ensure that geotechnical designs provide appropriate solutions.
* Undertake geotechnical analysis in areas such as slope stability, pavement designs, foundations and retaining walls.
* Provide quality check and review experience to an appropriate technical standard.
* Plan, program and coordinate geotechnical project inputs, to deliver the agreed outputs on budget, on time and to agreed quality standards.
* Prepare proposals and carry out other appropriate internal/external marketing initiatives as required.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering with completion of geotechnical electives and/or major as part of your university studies.
* Minimum 5 years working experience in consulting field and/or recognised as a senior engineer in your current role.
* Experience with soil investigation, supervision and geotechnical design.
* Previous experience with engineering software packages such as gINT, GEOSTUDIO, PLAXIS, ROCSCIENCE, CIRCLY, AutoCAD.
