Position Summary:
* provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plan.
* Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing and grooming.
* Provide transportation assistance to clients.
* Provide respite care to clients and their families.
* Keep accurate and up to date records or clients' care plans and progress.
* Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
* Follow health and safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field.
Requirements
* Amenable to start ASAP
* A valid Blue Card & Yellow Card
* Certificate 3 or 4 in individual support or willing to work towards completion(highly regarded).
* Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disability.
* With open availability - Day shift, night shifts, sleepovers and weekends.
* Prior experience working with Child Safety clients, or willingness to work with one.
* Prior experience working with mental health, or willing to work with one.
* At least high school, or the equivalent.
* Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
* Understanding of health and safety regulations.
* Ability to work with a diverse client base, understanding the different support needs of clients based on their abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
* Basic care and first aid skills.
* Strong computer skills, including proficiency in microsoft office suite.
