The Position
The position is responsible for leading the design and successful delivery of Council's corporate and internal communications activities consistent with the Albury Community Strategic Plan, the internally-focussed Engaging Our People Plan and the externally-focussed Engaging Albury Strategy, by delivering high quality, consistent and effective corporate communications services and internal engagement across the organisation.
Tasks and responsibilities
* Deliver strategic guidance and analysis on internal communications needs across AlburyCity.
* Employ practical experience and creativity in graphic and digital design to undertake and/or manage the design and publication of both on-line and off-line communications and marketing collateral.
* Lead the design and execution of effective internal communications and engagement plans, projects and strategies across the organisation.
* Ensure alignment with the Engaging Our People internal communications and engagement plan to strengthen engagement among Our People, encourage information sharing and enhance organisational culture.
* Manage AlburyCity's corporate brand guidelines to ensure the appropriate use of Council's visual identity across all on-line and off-line platforms, publications, signage and marketing materials.
Qualifications and experience
* Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field or equivalent work experience
* Experience working hands-on as a senior communications professional, with particular focus on internal communications.
* Local Government experience highly desirable
Hours
Based on a 35 hour week, with actual days and times being 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity's RDO guidelines.
