About the role
The Control Systems Engineer is a full-time permanent position, based at Yarraville, VIC. As part of the CSR Interior Systems, the role will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and you will implement, manage, and maintain site automation assets to ensure maximised benefits arise from new and improved technology on our Gyprock manufacturing site.
In this role you will:
* Champion a safety-first culture within the factory in pursuit of a zero-harm environment ensuring to Never Walk Past.
* Collaborate closely with all employees and stakeholders to understand site automation performance and develop strategies for improvement opportunities.
* Assist with the automation and programming onsite with Allen Bradley, PLC, and SCADA
* Develop and maintain control systems to ensure efficient manufacturing processes.
* You will work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, optimise performance, and ensure continuous improvement in operational efficiency while maintaining safety standards.
Experience with Rockwell Automation (Allen Bradley) PCs is highly advantageous and will be considered a strong asset. Experience with other PLC systems such as Siemens, Mitsubishi Electric, ABB or Schneider Electric would also be advantageous.
What you bring to the role
* A Grade Electrical licence (Electrician Licence) is highly advantageous or an Engineering Degree (Elec/Mechatronics or similar).
* Experience in process control, automation, or related field.
* Industry experience - heavy industry, continuous process manufacturing or FMCG (advantageous).
* Worked with Robotics and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) within a manufacturing environment.
