We are currently seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in Fortitude Valley. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to make a significant impact across a network of well-known venues throughout Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process monthly payroll, overseeing weekly/fortnightly cycles and ensuring timely payments to employees
* Manage superannuation, payroll tax, WorkCover, and compliance reporting to maintain optimal financial operations
* Oversee Time & Attendance systems across multiple venues (e.g. Humanforce) to streamline workforce management
* Prepare comprehensive payroll reports and provide valuable insights to senior management to inform strategic decisions
* SUPPORT PAYROLL INTEGRATION FOR NEW ACQUISITIONS TO ENHANCE BUSINESS EFFICIENCY
* Ensure strict compliance with hospitality awards (e.g. HIGA) and enterprise agreements to minimize risks and optimize benefits
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in payroll management, preferably within the hospitality or fast-paced multi-site environments
* Strong working knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, IR/HR frameworks, and awards (especially HIGA), enabling effective implementation and management
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and payroll systems to efficiently process and analyze large datasets
* Previous experience in hospitality or a fast-paced environment, with a proactive and detail-oriented mindset, is highly regarded
* Proven problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and strong communication skills
