About the Role
As an Accessibility Support Practitioner (ASP), you will provide in‐class learning support to students with a broad range of learning access and support needs, including disability, mental health needs, neurodivergence, health conditions and other barriers to learning. This is an educational support role focused on helping students engage in learning, build confidence and develop independence throughout their studies. You will work alongside students in vocational education classrooms, reinforcing learning, breaking down tasks, supporting engagement and encouraging independence. You will work across a range of vocational learning environments including trades, foundation studies and classroom‐based programs, collaborating closely with educators and the Accessibility team. Shifts are casual and typically available during teaching periods; hours are not guaranteed but we aim to provide rosters well in advance where possible.
Responsibilities
Support students in vocational education classrooms by reinforcing learning, breaking down tasks, enhancing engagement and fostering independence. Work closely with educators and the Accessibility team to implement inclusive education strategies. Assist with accessing assistive technologies and digital tools.
