About the Role
As a Painter with Summit Homes Group, you will be responsible for preparing and finishing internal and external surfaces across a range of residential projects. This hands-on role is perfect for someone with a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a passion for producing high-quality finishes.
Key Responsibilities:
Mix and prepare paint solutions to create specific shades, combining pigments, solvents, and drying components as needed.
Apply finishes including paint, stain, or varnish with hand tools like brushes and rollers, or by using spray systems.
Assemble and secure access equipment such as ladders and scaffolds and lay protective coverings to prevent damage or paint drips on nearby surfaces.
Ready surfaces by stripping existing paint or wallpaper, fixing damaged areas, filling imperfections, and sealing for a smooth finish.
Install wallpaper with care to ensure precise alignment of patterns and neat edge work.
Tidy up job sites post-project by cleaning tools and organizing materials.
About You
Certificate III in painting and decorating or equivalent
Minimum 3+ years of experience in the trade
Proven painting experience in a residential or construction setting.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to follow plans and specifications.
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Awareness of workplace health and safety practices.
