Exciting Opportunity – Medical Administration Assistant (Full-time or Part-time for the Right Candidates)
SA Medical Specialists is a multi-disciplinary medical specialist centre, servicing the South-Western region of SA by facilitating clinics from multiple metropolitan and remote locations with the Hove practice functioning as our main hub.
Whilst respiratory care is predominantly what we provide, we also have specialists that consult in the areas of Dermatology, Endocrinology, Geriatric Medicine, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Dental Sleep Medicine, Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology.
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Medical Administration Assistant to join our enthusiastic team This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your outstanding administration skills in a supportive and engaging healthcare environment.
About the Role:
As a valued member of our team, you will play a key role in providing high-quality administrative support across multiple locations, including:
* Hove Hub
* Adelaide Health Suites (Parkside)
* Advara Heartcare (Mount Barker)
* Victor Medical Centre (Victor Harbor)
* Additional opportunities to travel and support specialists at remote locations
Please note the successful candidate will be required to work several shifts per week at our new Northern Hub as part of our evolving service model.

What will you be doing:
Be the welcoming face of our practice – greeting patients, managing appointments, billing with Medicare and HICAPS, and assisting with incoming and outgoing calls.
Keep things running smoothly – managing appointment books, scanning, faxing, emailing, and handling referrals.
Play a crucial role in patient care – following up on results, scans, reports and specialist correspondence.
Coordinate procedures – making theatre bookings and ensuring seamless patient journeys.
The successful candidate may play an important role in our new Silicosis Program, helping to support the team with administrative and project-based tasks that ensure our services run smoothly and meet contractual requirements. There is also scope to become involved in future projects, offering variety and development through behind-the-scenes administrative support.
