**Job location**
Forensicare is the statutory agency responsible for the provision of adult forensic mental health services across Victoria. Forensicare is situated across five sites across Victoria with its largest site being Thomas Embling Hospital,?located in Fairfield?just 15 minutes north of the Melbourne city centre.?Thomas Embling Hospital is a 136-bed secure hospital providing acute care, rehabilitation and continuing care programs. It includes a dedicated women's unit.
**About the Role**:
- The Dietitian Clinical Educator is a key support to the dietetics graduates and the Allied Health & Psychology graduate and registrar program.
- This role supports the skill development, opportunities and transition to forensic mental health for the graduate Dietitans as well as overseeing the learning and development needs for the discipline.
**Duties**:
- Work with the Senior Dietitian to establish a discipline practice process model to guide care planning and assessment
- Provide clinical supervision, support and oversight of the graduate dietitians practice processes and learning.
- Contribute to the broader Allied Health & Psychology graduate and registrar training program
- Design, develop and facilitate discipline focused learning and development programs, for dietitians and broader team members
**About You**:
- Experience in providing clinical supervision, support and reflective practice to graduate dietitians and other allied health professions
- Familiarity with the Equally Well Framework and the importance of addressing metabolic health as part of mental health care
- Advocate for preventative and population health approaches
- Willingness to learn and support with and from other disciplines
**What you need**:
- Approved degree in Dietetics and eligibility for membership of Dietitian's Australia
- Additional qualifications in clinical education and/or training and assessment would be desirable but is not essential.
