FJM Gas & Fuel Maintenance & Installations is expanding, and we're looking for a reliable and hands‑on Service Technician / Electrician to join our Adelaide operations. This full‑time role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem‑solving, and working throughout South Australia.
You'll be travelling to customer locations to keep fuel systems and their electrical components operating safely and efficiently. From routine maintenance to urgent breakdowns, you'll be the person our clients count on to keep their facilities functioning at their best.
Key Responsibilities
* Servicing, maintaining, and repairing fuel system equipment, including pumps, tanks, control systems, and related infrastructure across South Australia.
* Carrying out planned maintenance to reduce the risk of equipment failures.
* Attending to breakdowns and urgent call‑outs with a professional and safety‑focused approach.
* Using electrical drawings, schematics, and manuals to diagnose issues.
* Recording your work accurately through our digital reporting tools.
* Working within hazardous environments while following strict safety guidelines.
* Building strong working relationships with clients and representing the company positively.
* Occasional away work required with away allowances.
What We're Looking For
* Qualified Electrician with a current SA Electrical Licence.
* Strong mechanical understanding – comfortable troubleshooting both electrical and non‑electrical faults as you will often be using mechanical knowledge to fix pumps, nozzles, hoses and other fuel system faults.
* Experience in an industrial or commercial maintenance environment (fuel industry or hazardous areas background is a bonus).
* Confidence in diagnosing issues independently, while also collaborating effectively with the broader team.
* Good communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
* A proactive, safety‑first attitude.
