We are seeking an experienced
'Cloud & Integration Solution Architect'
to work directly with IT, business areas, and Agile Delivery Teams to provide strategic and technical guidance while leading the development of solution architectures. This role requires a balance of hands-on technical design, governance, and enterprise-level leadership, ensuring solutions align with business needs and government standards.
Key Responsibilities Of The Position
* Lead the development of architectures for complex solutions, ensuring alignment with agreed requirements.
* Provide technical guidance and governance on solution development and integration.
* Identify and evaluate alternative architectures, analysing trade-offs in cost, performance, and scalability.
* Produce detailed specifications for cloud-based and on-premises components, tiers, and interfaces.
* Manage and coordinate the target architecture across projects, workstreams, and initiatives.
* Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of policies, principles, and practices for architecture component selection.
* Ensure consistent application of technical strategies, policies, standards, and security practices.
* Evaluate requests for changes and deviations, making recommendations to governance bodies.
What We Are Looking For
* Proven experience in solution architecture across complex, multi-system environments.
* Strong track record of providing governance and technical direction for solution development and integration.
* Expertise in designing cloud-native and on-prem architectures with detailed component and interface specifications.
* Solid knowledge of architecture frameworks, standards, and security policies.
* Experience contributing to the selection and governance of architectural components.
* Background working within Agile project/program delivery environments.
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Tertiary qualifications or industry-recognised certification in Information Management, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
* Proficiency with Archimate 3.1 for architecture documentation and definition.
* Delivery of large-scale ICT transformation programs, ideally in Commonwealth Government.
* Knowledge of Commonwealth ICT frameworks and governance practices.
* Understanding of Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
