SEI Australia Pty Ltd is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to support our operations. The position is located in Thomastown, VIC (hybrid).
Job Duties And Responsibilities
* Identify new business opportunities and expand the existing client base.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams.
* Support the development and execution of sales strategies.
* Prepare proposals, tenders, and quotations.
* Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet sales targets.
* Conduct needs analysis to understand customer challenges.
* Deliver pre-sales technical expertise, presentations, and product demonstrations.
* Simplify complex technical information for non-technical audiences.
* Provide post-sales support, including system deployment, training, and troubleshooting.
* Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients.
* Gather customer feedback to improve existing products and inform new development.
Required Qualifications
* Excellent English communication skills.
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
* Strong technical background in IT or telecom infrastructure.
* Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities.
* Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency (unrestricted work rights required).
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in optical communication products or fiber optic technology.
* Familiarity with Japanese business culture.
* Previous experience in technical sales or business development within the telecom or IT industry.
* Ability to travel interstate or internationally when required.
