We're partnering with a large enterprise undergoing a multi-year AWS migration, supporting a critical healthcare environment. This is a hands‐on Cloud Solution Architect role suited to someone with a strong engineering background who can bridge deep technical delivery with architecture governance.
The Role
You'll sit at the heart of a major AWS transformation, working closely with cloud engineers, operations, and delivery teams, as well as external AWS partners.
You'll play a key role in shaping modern, scalable cloud solutions while ensuring alignment with architecture standards and governance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver AWS‐based solutions across a complex migration program
* Work closely with Cloud Ops, App Support, Integration and Data teams
* Partner with AWS vendors and internal SMEs to drive outcomes
* Lead architecture discussions and present into architecture forums / review boards
* Produce high‐quality architecture documentation and solution designs
* Drive modernisation, transformation, and cost optimisation initiatives
* Provide troubleshooting support across cloud environments where required
About You
* Strong background in cloud engineering
* Deep expertise across AWS environments
* Experience with cloud modernisation, migration, and optimisation
* Strong understanding of AWS security best practices
* Proven ability to troubleshoot complex cloud issues
* Experience working within an architecture practice / governance framework
* Exposure to TOGAF or similar frameworks
* Comfortable presenting to Architecture Review Boards and senior stakeholders
* Strong documentation and design artefact creation
