Rous is seeking a detail-oriented Communications and Customer Relations Officer to join our team. You will play a vital role in ensuring professional and personable customer service and efficient accounts management.
Responsibilities will include :
* Provide accurate and timely advice, information and assistance to customers in all aspects of customer operations in response to identified customer and staff needs
* Assist customers with finding information and with Council related forms.
* To receipt and reconcile payments including using EFTPOS.
* End-to-end meeting support including agenda preparation, minute taking, booking venues, sending invitations, arranging catering, room setup/pack down.
* Ensure the appearance of the reception area, including all brochures, documents and information on display is current and all visitors follow the sign-in procedure on arrival and departure.
* Provide secretarial and administrative service support to internal stakeholders
* Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of Council's processes, services and programs in order to provide quality service and information to Council's customers.
* Carry out any other duties as required and within skills, competencies and training including daily routine task lists

As a Customer and Accounts Officer at Rous, you will have the opportunity to utilise your organisational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
You don't need years of experience, just enthusiasm, reliability, and some of the following skills and qualities :
* Identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (evidence may be requested).
* Completed Year 10 education, including English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
* Experience in customer service or administrative support roles.
* Strong self-management, time management, and organisational skills.
* High attention to detail, with discretion and confidentiality in handling information.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
* Awareness of workplace health and safety responsibilities under the WHS Act 2011
