Compliance Team Member - Telecommunications Assurance Specialist

About the Role:
The AFP seeks a highly skilled Compliance Team Member to support investigations by ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, including the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act 1979, Surveillance Devices Act 2004, and Crimes Act 1914.
* This role requires strong analytical skills to ensure accurate processing of telecommunications data authorisations, warrants, and inspections.
* A high level of technical knowledge is required to maintain governance frameworks for Controlled Operations and Account Takeover Warrants.
Main Responsibilities:
* Support investigators in meeting legislative compliance requirements.
* Process and manage all Warrants under the TIA Act and SD Act for their lifecycle.
* Ensure compliance with industry assistance requests and facilitate non-telecommunications related enquiries.
* Coordinate engagement with the Office of the Commonwealth Ombudsman and the Inspector-General of Intelligence and Security (IGIS).
* Provide post-warrant advice and support to operations to ensure statutory reporting compliance.
* Maintain and update records, reports, and documentation as required.
Requirements:
* Citizenship of Australia at time of application.
* Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or ability to obtain one.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
