The Role
As the WHS Manager, you will play a key role in driving a proactive safety culture within our organisation. You will oversee all health, safety, and compliance matters across multiple sites, working closely with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and clients. This role is ideal for a motivated qualified who thrives in a quick‐paced construction environment and has a strong understanding of industry safety legislation and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and monitor WHS policies, systems, and procedures
* Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, codes of practice, and company requirements
* Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
* Provide safety training, inductions for new starters
* Conduct safety training and inductions for all workers
* Investigate incidents, near misses, and implement corrective actions
* Lead and promote a positive safety culture across all levels of the business
* Prepare WHS reports, documentation, and recommendations for management
* Liaise with regulators, clients, and external stakeholders on safety matters
* Monitor and update the staff training and compliance matrix to support a secure and skilled workplace
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 5 years' WHS experience in the construction industry
* Relevant qualifications in Work Health & Safety (Cert IV or Diploma minimum, Degree desirable)
* Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, standards, and industry practices
* Demonstrated experience in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and lead
* Strong organisational and reporting skills
* NSW driver's licence and White Card
* Experience in 1BC/Hammertech/Procore
