About Us
MS Fabrications QLD Pty Ltd is a locally owned and family-operated fabrication business based in Bohle, Townsville. We provide fabrication, maintenance, and repair services to local industry, working across fixed and mobile plant as well as general steel fabrication projects.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for qualified Boilermakers / Fabricators to join our team. This is an opportunity to work in a busy workshop with occasional site work, alongside a team that values reliability, workmanship, and practical problem-solving.
About the Role
As a qualified Boilermaker, you will be responsible for carrying out fabrication, maintenance, and repair work across a range of equipment and structures. The role involves both workshop-based work and occasional field service work.
Key responsibilities include:
* Fabrication, repairs, and maintenance on steel structures and equipment
* Maintenance and repairs on fixed and mobile plant, including crushers, conveyors, screens, and associated equipment
* Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings
* Cutting, grinding, welding, and fitting steel components
* Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently
* Maintaining high safety standards in the workshop and on site
* Working collaboratively with the team to complete jobs on time and to a high standard
About You
The successful candidate will:
* Be a trade-qualified Boilermaker / Metal Fabricator
* Have strong welding and fabrication skills
* Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
* Have a strong work ethic and take pride in their work
* Have good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Be reliable and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
* Trade qualification – Boilermaker / Metal Fabricator
* Current C Class Driver Licence
* Ability to work Monday to Friday with overtime available when required
* Willingness to attend site work and occasional travel
* Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening if required
* Must have full Australian working rights
