We are seeking an experienced Test Lead with robust expertise in card payments and card lifecycle processes. In this role, you will ensure the quality, compliance, and seamless performance of card-based products and systems through end-to-end testing activities.
This position is ideal for someone with deep domain experience in cards issuing, personalization, transactions, and payment scheme certification.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute functional, system integration, performance, and UAT testing for card products and related platforms
Validate all stages of the customer and card lifecycle, including issuance, transactions, fraud checks, chargebacks, statements, rewards, and closure
Conduct detailed testing of ISO8583 message flows
Perform payment scheme certification testing
Manage defect triage, communication, and resolution with cross-functional teams
Work closely with development, business, and QA teams to define scope and ensure alignment
Prepare and execute test cases using test management tools
Perform backend validations using SQL / PL SQL
Work with simulators, API testing tools, and Unix environments
Contribute to test documentation, reporting, and client support activities
Skills & Experience Must-Have
Strong experience in card issuing and acquiring platforms
Deep understanding of customer onboarding, card lifecycle management, collections, fees, fraud, rewards, reporting, and payments
Hands‑on experience with ISO8583, multi-currency processing, and account structures
Knowledge of chip data, track data, PIN management, and authorisation flows
Experience with credit, debit, and prepaid card products
Proven experience with certification testing for major payment schemes
Proficiency with SQL/PL SQL, JIRA/Confluence, API testing tools, Unix
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
8+ years of experience in the payments industry focused on card systems
Strong written and spoken English skills
Willingness to travel for client engagements
Flexibility to work outside standard business hours when required
Ability to work on‑site
