Job Description
We deliver best practice Radiation Oncology nursing services, ensuring our patients receive exceptional care and treatment. As part of our small and dedicated team, you will work closely with doctors, physicists, and radiation therapists to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing excellent patient care, ensuring patients' physical and psychological needs are met.
* Undertaking direct patient care, including education, wound management, and medication administration as per Practice Protocol.
* Effectively managing the patients seen each day.
* Facilitating effective lines of communication with doctors, patient services, physicists, and radiation therapists, providing feedback and up-to-date information regarding patients.
* Ensuring all patient interaction is documented, communicated, and actioned.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
* A minimum 2 years post-graduate experience (preferred).
* A background in oncology nursing, although not essential, training in radiation oncology nursing will be provided.
* Exemplary interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy for all patients and their carers.
* Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Commitment to the application of best practice principles and quality improvement, including the NSQHS.
* Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development.
