Aquatic Centre Manager – Kawana Aquatic Centre

Kawana Aquatic Centre is a beautifully renovated aquatic facility featuring multiple pools, diving boards, learn-to-swim programs and strong community participation. We are looking for an experienced and energetic Aquatic Centre Manager to lead the venue, overseeing operations, programs and a passionate team delivering exceptional aquatic and recreation experiences.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Aquatics Manager, Swim School Manager, Leisure Centre Manager, Venue Manager or senior aquatic leader ready to take ownership of a thriving community facility and help shape its next chapter.

The Role Lead the Centre

Oversee the day-to-day operations of Kawana Aquatic Centre, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality and customer experience across aquatic programs, facilities and services.

Build and Lead the Team

Lead, mentor and develop a diverse team of managers, swim instructors, lifeguards and customer service team members. Build a culture of accountability, engagement and pride in delivering outstanding experiences.

Grow Participation

Drive participation across learn-to-swim programs, squad pathways, memberships and community programs. Build strong relationships with schools, sporting clubs and community partners.

Run a Successful Venue

Manage operational planning, budgeting and performance reporting while identifying opportunities to improve programs, participation and customer experience.


About You

You are a confident and visible leader who enjoys being on the pool deck supporting your team and engaging with the community, not sitting behind a desk.

You will bring:

* Experience managing or supervising an aquatic, leisure, recreation or fitness facility
* Strong understanding of aquatic safety, compliance and operational standards
* Experience leading teams of lifeguards, swim teachers, instructors or venue staff
* Strong operational leadership across people, programs, facilities and customer experience
* Business acumen including budgeting, reporting and operational planning
* A passion for community engagement and delivering outstanding customer service


This role may also suit an experienced Swim School Manager, Aquatic Supervisor, Duty Manager or Assistant Venue Manager ready to step into their first Centre Manager role.

Availability to work weekends and a rotating mix of opening and closing shifts is required to support centre operations.
