We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our WA Electrical Construction team on a full-time basis for a project in the Rockingham area. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will oversee the delivery of electrical works on a long-term project scheduled to run for approximately 1–2 years.
Key responsibilities
* Scheduling, managing and reporting progress of projects to ensure high quality end product
* Conducting workplace planning and resources in accordance with project timelines
* Organising and coordinating activities in conjunction with other trades, including subcontractors
* Supervise all visitors, employees, suppliers and subcontractors entering project sites
* Completing take offs, supporting procurement of material as required including production control
* Be the first point of contact for site based issued and technical advice
* Build and maintain relationships with main contractor, employee and subcontractors
* Complete and submit RFIs as required
* Managing delivery of schedules and project materials
* Monitoring completion of ITCs, ITPs and all QA documentation
* Oversee day to day site electrical activities
* Lead and conduct toolbox meeting and supervising field teams
* Conduct testing, inspections and commissioning
* Attending weekly design, client, site meetings, including coordinating clash detection meetings
* Preparing daily work tasks for trades and apprentices
* Ensuring all installations meet Australian Standards and project specifications
Qualifications and experience
* To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience: Demonstrated 5 plus years' experience in a similar role with an electrical background within the construction industries with exposure to commercial, hospital or large infrastructure projects preferred
* Must have a WA Electrical Licence, opening cabling licence, white card and driver's licence
* Strong knowledge of AS/NZS 3000:2018
* Proven experience supervising electricians, apprentices and subcontractors
* Strong organisational skills and a high attention to detail
* High level communication skills, both verbal and written
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
* Efficient in Microsoft Office Suite
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
