Overview
As One Labour has been engaged to supply experienced personnel to support the testing and evaluation of new Armoured Fighting Vehicles (AFVs) for Hanwha Aerospace. We are seeking suitably qualified veterans with Armoured Corps or armoured platform experience to contribute to a structured vehicle testing program.
Primary Role
The primary responsibility of this role is to test drive Armoured Fighting Vehicles across a range of operational environments and testing scenarios, including proving grounds, track testing, endurance trials, and performance validation exercises. Testing locations are expected to include the Avalon test track, Puckapunyal training area, interstate locations such as Brisbane, and potential international testing activities where required.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate AFVs during scheduled testing, validation, and verification activities across varied terrain and operational environments
* Conduct first parade / last parade inspections and vehicle preparation tasks
* Provide operational feedback to engineering and technical teams on vehicle handling, performance, and usability
* Support testing teams during endurance, reliability, and performance trials
* Participate in safety briefings, operational rehearsals, and structured testing procedures
* Maintain accurate operational records and reporting as required
Preferred Background
* Former Armoured Corps personnel (ASLAV, M113, Abrams, or similar platforms)
* AFV drivers, crew commanders, maintainers, or technicians with operational experience
* Strong safety awareness and ability to operate within controlled test environments
* Ability to work within structured military-style procedures and reporting frameworks
Additional Information
* Roles primarily based in Geelong, VIC, with regular travel required
* Relocation candidates welcome
* Living Away From Home Allowance (LAHA) available where applicable
Location: Primarily Geelong, Victoria (travel required)
Duration: 18–24 Month Contract
Salary: Approx. $140,000 – $150,000 per annum + overtime + LAHA (where applicable)
