We are currently looking for a Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist (Anaesthetist) to join a highly motivated team based at the Mount Isa Hospital to provide anaesthetic services within the North West Hospital and Health Service.This is an opportunity to develop areas of clinical interest to you within anaesthesia (including obstetrics and regional), ICU, perioperative medicine, pain management, medical education and wellbeing and support continued improvement of health services by participating in quality improvement opportunities.The Ideal CandidateSkills in epidurals for delivery suite and anaesthsia for obstetrics is required.Scope of Practice in paediatric anaesthesia (5 years or younger) is desirable.An interest or experience in Intensive Care management of patients.An interest in, or experience in, regional anaesthesia and acute and / or chronic pain management.Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA).
Current registration with/or eligible for registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.The lifestyle in Mount Isa is family friendly; it is a vibrant city with an outback community feel.The Traditional Owners of the area are the Kalkadoon people.Mount Isa is a great place to live and work!
